Following a new GFSI requirement for GFSI Benchmarking, we are publishing a Position Statement to provide guidance on the new unannounced audit programme. This will be industry-wide practice and apply across all GFSI programmes. This will affect sites that are certified to the Food, Packaging and Storage and Distribution BRCGS Standards.

Following your audits that will take place next year, your Certification Body will contact you to inform you whether the next audit due in 2022 will be unannounced or announced. During a 3 year cycle, every site will receive one unannounced audit.
